Springing up as a resident of Nottingham’s forward thinking club night Wigflex, The Hizatron has dropped a masterpiece onto the night’s imprint. Falling somewhere between the funky 2-step of Joy Orbison and the melodic minimal of Lucio Aquilina, “Executive Ball Scratcher” skips and shuffles over wiggling bursts of a squelching garage baseline until opening into a chiming cascade of music box melodies. Bleeps, clicks and percussion tie it up to make for an incredibly intricate tune that, on a pumping system is guaranteed to make neck hairs stand on end amid the knee-bending, foot-stepping and hip swinging.
